lisocore® is an innovative and unique lightweight panel with a patented core made from recycled wood fibers and sawdust. The material consists of two thin cover layers connected by a three-dimensional core structure. This core is a patented, self-supporting panel composed of a honeycomb structure of thermoformed wood particles

Low weight

  • Approximately 50% lighter than mdf desk tops due to the “egg carton structure,” which leaves air within the panel. This makes it easier to handle in production, storage, transport, mounting on frames, and for the end user.
    • lisocore® weight: approx. 355 kg/m³ = approx. 8 kg/m².
    • mdf weight: approx. 720-730 kg/m³ = approx. 8-16 kg/m².

 Low material consumption

  • Up to two-thirds material savings compared to conventional wood-based panels.
  • 50% less wood usage due to a core of wood fibers and sawdust.
  • 80% less glue usage, which is naturally formaldehyde-free.

 Sustainability

  • Low material consumption, reducing the need to cut down trees and the waste stream.
  • Reduced transportation requirements due to the lightweight panels, allowing trucks to be fully loaded and resulting in a smaller environmental footprint (at least 30% fewer trucks annually).
  • All residual materials are recyclable thanks to a clean product structure.

 High strength and stability

  • More than three times the strength and stability despite the low weight, reducing the risk of deflection. The support rail can even be omitted.
  • Always delivered with shock-absorbing ABS edges (or plywood or wooden edges), making the desk top highly resistant to wear and impact.
  • Good durability ensures a long lifespan, reducing the need for frequent replacement, thereby cutting down on additional production and waste.
