LORIA chairs
In 2023, the French-Japanese designer Jun Yasumoto created the LORIA collection – a range of seat shells and frames designed to be mixed, matched, and easily interchanged.
The LORIA chairs are crafted from high-quality, recyclable, and eco-friendly raw materials. The material is glass fiber-reinforced polypropylene, offering the perfect combination of lightness and durability.
The chairs consist of 50% recycled ingredients. The color ‘Grigio Caldo ECO’ consists of 100% recycled ingredients: 50% post-consumer plastic waste – such as plastic bottles or food packaging – and 50% post-industrial plastic waste – such as plastic containers and film.
Throughout the production process, great emphasis has been placed on reducing raw material consumption, optimizing resource use, recycling and/or reusing waste, and controlling emissions. From the outset, the LORIA collection was designed to be disassembled when a component needs replacement, thereby reducing the consumption of resources. Durability – both aesthetic and structural – is also a key element in the effort to ensure sustainability.
The chairs are ideal for canteens, meeting rooms, or community spaces where comfort and easy-to-clean materials are essential.
With a weight of just 4,33 kg, LORIA is easy to handle – a clear benefit for everyday use as well as when hanging the chairs under tables or when your furniture needs to be rearranged.
We offer chair hangers that fit perfectly with the LORIA chairs, designed for use with our auditorium and canteen tables. The chair hangers are shaped like a funnel, allowing the chairs to almost “slide” or be “pulled” into place. You can choose between pre-mounted chair hangers, saving you the time of measuring and adjusting, or loose chair hangers for self-installation or later ordering.
LORIA chairs can also be used outdoors without, for example, fading in the sun.
Furnish with a collection of matching chairs and add a twist by introducing another color here and there – or by mixing shell and frame colors.
You will find the chairs under the arcades of an exclusive bar in central Milan, on the terrace of a renowned restaurant in Paris, at a popular sushi bar in Tokyo – or perhaps in the conservatory of a Stockholm hotel. Or maybe in a friend’s dining room?
Fun fact: The name LORIA refers to the town of Loria in Northern Italy, where the chairs are produced.
